THE CALLING TO COACH

When you are genuinely called to become a coach, you have a deep knowing that in this way you will be creating personal transformation for others in ways not previously thought possible. You would want to do this not because of opportunity or money or self-validation, but because you have been gifted the purpose, passion and inner resources to impact others’ lives significantly.

You would be willing, when this is your calling, to do the hard work of personal self-transformation and to do whatever it takes to offer your service to the world.  Being a coach is often inaccurately glorified; it is perceived as wisdom dressed up in authority, when essentially, being a coach is being humble enough to facilitate a process that is authentically meaningful only when you are free of your own ego, agenda and need of control.

Coaching is carrying someone from where they are to where they want to be.  It is a sacred journey. It requires coaches that are sufficiently self-aware and anchored; who have the knowledge when to step out of the way.
